Winters Teeth, find out where Snowdrop Flowers come from!

Where did Snowdrop flowers come from?

In the Uk we it feels like we have suddenly moved into spring, so I’m being unkind and take you back to those cold winter days for this little story nugget. Have you ever wondered why the snow drops are the 1st flowers after the winter snow?

Well here’s how that came about. Long ago under siting under the two grumpy mountains was a little village.

But the people there weren’t happy as winter seemed to be lasting forever.

A Winter Beast was tormenting them. Patrolling the village them blasting them with snow and ice whenever it got the opportunity.

Crystal had to stay safe inside with Grandpa and his big books. There weren’t enough pictures in the books to keep Crystal entertained, but Grandpa did share his toffees with her.

But Crystal got bored.  While Grandpa was napping she swiped the last of toffees. She and the cat headed outside for an adventure.

It was cold and started to get even colder as the Winter Beast approached. Crystal didn’t know what to do, so she scattered the toffees. Maybe the Winter Beast needed a little sweetness to stop him from being so cross.

The Beast greedily licked up the toffees still in their wrappers.

But then it started to look poorly, his hair started to fizz and all his sharp teeth popped out!

The teeth melted through the snow and pretty white flowers took their place. This is how snow drops were made.

With a poof he shrank to the same size and the cat and looked rather cute.

The snow started to melt and the villagers were happy again. Grandpa didn’t really notice as he was still busy with his books . But he did have someone new to keep his knees warm.

The snowdrop flowers popped up every year after to show that winter had ended.

I am glad we're heading into Spring🍃
