Cherry Pie🍒🦊 - Wishing for Summer!

☀️Can you remember how summer feels? the warm air and trees full of green leaves. It feels like another world from this January gloom.

Last summer was hot and dry, perfect for ripening the wild cherries. I was so surprised to see who was coming to eat the ones that had fallen in the grass. This story nugget was inspired by this fox.

I’d seen him the year before in the garden, keeping an eye on the cubs. He has a great big scar on his face and I know he’s a he cos in spied on him with binoculars.🤭🤣

Mr Fox was out looking for food when he came across some lovely cherries.

Luckily he’d remembered to bring his ‘bag for life’ to put the cherries he collected.

He trotted home with his prize….

….and got to work in the kitchen.

His family were very pleased to see what he had made for them.

This is an incomplete story as there’s no conflict, but a fox’s life is tough enough. You can see by the scar on his face and by knowing the terrier men have been around. But I still hope to see him again when the air is warm and the trees are green🍃🐾

(🍒oh I put a handful of those wild cherries into vodka - absolutely delicious😉)
